Portland visit

Ruth and I visited Portland, Oregon recently, and were hosted by our friends, Gary Scharff and Barbara Underwood Scharff. Barb and Lloyd have known each other since high school.  A happy occasion, with walks, thoughtful wide-ranging conversations, caring, and pleasant meals.

Madurodam, Netherlands

Madurodam is a magical park replicating the Netherlands in highly-detailed miniature. It was built in honor of Dutch hero George Maduro after WWII. I spent happy hours there as a child. It was Ruth's favorite place to experience.
