Operation Understanding Class 23 / Martin Luther King Day Retreat

The incoming twenty-third class of Operation Understanding DC participants began their work together as part of this year's Martin Luther King Jr. birthday weekend.

OUDC'mission "is to build a generation of African American and Jewish community leaders who promote respect, understanding and cooperation while working to eradicate racism, anti-Semitism and all forms of discrimination."

I wish their new executive and program director, Yolanda Savage-Narva and Ricki Horne, every success  in working with this energetic and bright group of young people.

I have been covering the work of this model organization since its inception.
