Decoding the Rollercoaster | From the vaults

Poster from an exhibition I had in New York in 1987, at ABCNoRio, a funky East Village art space back in the day.

The work shown consisted of hand-written letters on black-and-white prints that had been sent to a friend "in confusion and clarity."

True true true.

To quote a regretful Rimbaud in his poem A Season in Hell, "finally, I came to believe in the confusion of the mind as sacred."

Thank goodness for the possibilities of redemption and hard-learned wisdom.
