Madurodam, Netherlands

Madurodam is a magical park replicating the Netherlands in highly-detailed miniature. It was built in honor of Dutch hero George Maduro after WWII. I spent happy hours there as a child. It was Ruth's favorite place to experience. 

Voorburg, Netherlands

In 1959 and 1960, my family lived in Voorburg, a suburb of the Hague, at Hoekenburglaan 57 and Tollenskade 10.
