Ruth and I traveled to Jerusalem to help celebrate the bar mitzvah of Shai Herzberg-Turner, the son of our friends, Mark Herzberg and Rabbi Ma'ayan Turner, at Kol Haneshema synagogue.
Shai is a serious and gifted young musician, and is studying at a conservatory, the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. Part of the evening celebration consisted of spirited performances by Shai of compositions by J.S. Bach and Fritz Kreisler.
A truly splendid time was had by all, and we felt very welcomed.
Mazel tov Shai, and blessings to all.
