View of the West Wing of the White House in Washington DC, from the EEOB's Indian Treaty Room. I was covering an event for the Armed Forces Arts Partnership.

Chris Stapleton for Give An Hour

I recently photographed rising country music star Chris Stapleton for Give An Hour and Change Direction.

He was doing a benefit concert at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington DC, to promote awareness and healing about mental illness.

Thank you to Chris Stapleton and his entourage, and Dr. Barbara Van Dahlen, Sally Charney, Kristin Lee, and the rest of the good folks at Give an Hour/Change Direction.

Check out Chris's powerful video, Fire Away.

Liberty Brass Band (Shakespeare's Funeral March)

I recently photographed the Liberty Brass Band of New Orleans performing a jazz funeral march at the Folger Library in DC for the 400th Anniversary of William Shakespeare's death.

Thanks to all the members of this supremely gifted band, their project coordinator Michael Kuczynski of Tulane University, and Garland Scott of the Folger.

Advocates for Youth- Urban Retreat 2016

Here are some of my favorite personal images from my recent coverage of Advocates for Youth's annual urban retreat.

These folks are the cutting edge in transforming themselves and creating a more just, happy, inclusive society for us all.

Blessings, power... and fun.
