I recently spoke and presented my DC street memorials work as part of an anti-violence and healing program sponsored by Kayla's Village, held at Trinity AME Zion Church in Washington DC.
Thanks to Ms. Kadija Ash for inviting me to share my work with the community.
Services were led by Rev. Timothy Freeman and Rev. Alyce Walker Johnson. There was music by the group "Heaven's Song" and a play "Make It Home," written and directed by Jonathan Johnson, with actors Joseph McCarley and others. The program was bound together with reflections by Tonya Logan, founder of Kayla's Village.
