Randomizing photo test results
These photographs were all made without looking through the camera's viewfinder. The camera was set to automatically make all decisions regarding focus and exposure. Compostion was minimally controlled, with as little intervention as possible. The lens was simply pointed in the general direction of a potentially-interesting subject, and the shutter was released.
Interesting enough results. Meaning appears, or some appearance of meaning is possible to apprehend in some form from these images I reckon.
I like the lack of control, and the surprises that were revealed. Perhaps a small step closer to reality...
FYI: Source of images- the crowd at Artsfest weekend, State College, Pennsylvania. Ruth and I were visiting her daughter Marjorie, and Marjorie's boyfriend, Sean.
