Charlie & Miriam Maloney own Dayspring Farm, an organic farm in Cologne, Virginia. They are Quakers, dedicated to spiritually-centered, community-based agriculture and to sustainable farming practices. Their farmhands are mainly university students interested in practicing these principles.
Dayspring grows a wide variety of vegetables, fruits, herbs, flowers, eggs, & has a membership subscription service for their produce. Best tomatoes I have ever eaten. Lovely folks, too.
The farm can be reached at: maloney@3bubbas.com
The story was for Byronchild, an interesting magazine based in Australia
