"Belle" | '57 Chevy

This is a bit off my beaten track visually and otherwise, but I recently had the great pleasure of photographing "Belle," a beautifully restored award-winning 1957 Chevy BelAir, owned and maintained by John Pappas. John is quite a bon vivant, who also maintains an award-winning Camaro and his original 1968 BSA motorcycle one-cylinder, "Thunder."

Portrait of President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf - Nobel Peace Prize recipient

I made this portrait of Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, President of Liberia, a couple of years ago in Washington, DC.

It was announced today that she will share the 2011 Nobel Peace Prize with two other women, Liberian peace activist Leymah Gbowee and Tawakul Karman, a Yemeni pro-democracy campaigner.

Folger Consort

I recently documented a rehearsal and concert of the Folger Consort, accompanied by Cathedra, at the Folger Shakespeare Library's intimate theater.

The founders and artistic directors of the Folger Consort are Robert Eisenstein (violin) and Christopher Kendall (lute, theorbo). Cathedra is conducted by Michael McCarthy.

Thanks to Tim Swoape of the Folger for his help and direction.
