Portraits made largely in-camera (through multiple exposures) while covering a meeting of AIMBE, the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering.

These are exceptionally brilliant, disciplined, and creative science and engineering researchers. Being around them elevates my thinking... Their work powerfully enhances our lives.

Mural painting at CCNV Shelter, DC

Kotel | Circles Within Circles

I have just created a new image for "Circles Within Circles: Jewish Time Frames," the series I have been collaborating on with poet Sherri Waas Shunfenthal.

This new collage is titled "Kotel 2."

The Kotel HaMaariv ( ותל המערבי ) is the western wall of the ancient Jewish temple in Jerusalem, sometimes referred to as the "Wailing Wall."

Circles Within Circles will next be exhibited at the Alper JCC in Miami, Florida in May 2012.

For the 25th year, over 0ne thousand volunteers from the DC Jewish Community Center helped out across the city on Christmas day. This was my 20th year documenting the effort.
