TWI- The Washington Institute for Near East Policy - 2026 Conference

On assignment for the Washington Institute for Near East Policy (TWI), covering their Weinberg Policy Conference. Presenters included the British and Israeli ambassadors, the President of Lebanon, the Emerati Foreign Affairs director, three-star American generals, numerous distinguished scholars, journalists, and other high-level experts on the region. A briefing held in the British Ambassador's residence was part of the week's highlights.

Pro-democracy rally for Israel at the US Supreme Court

I covered a rally for democracy in Israel at the US Supreme Court, Washington DC. It was organized by Unexeptable- most of the attendees were Israeli expatriates, with numerous American Jewish supporters in attendance. It was loud, vigorous, passionate, and peaceful. Hatikva, the Israeli national anthem,  was sung in closing.

The rally was to support the hundreds of thousands currently demonstrating in Israel to preserve democracy there.

A shofar was blown, as part of the sacred practices for the month of Elul, and as a call for justice. 

It’s interesting that the last time I photographed a shofar being blown on Capitol Hill, it was, on Jan. 6, 2021 - a far different occasion.
