Boat trip on the Potomac

My friend Scott Price recently invited me to go along on a boat trip on the Potomac River with his wife Pam. Our wonderful hosts were Nick Waring and his partner Nan Harmon (thank you!).

A totally lovely occasion.

Quarantine Diary 34 | Old Town Alexandria

Quarantine Diary 34. Ruth and I spent a happy day wandering along the Potomac River waterfront and in Old Town, Alexandria VA.

As my old friend and former mayor of the city, the honorable Allison Silberberg puts it "Alexandria is a national treasure."

The only downside was a few pro-Tr*mpf people observing a boat rally on the river. They seemed both odd and dispirited. They were certainly vastly outnumbered by the happy and diverse folks strolling by.  

We had a lovely day. A blessing.
