Baruch dayan emet. May there be peace, and may the memory of Shimon Peres, z'l, be for a blessing. 

I made this photograph of him speaking at a ceremony in Arlington Cemetery in 1996. He was an elegant, thoughtful man, a true statesman, dedicated to his people, and to the wisdom, moral imperative, and necessity of peace. שלום

Scenes from a wedding

Ruth and I recently attended the wedding of Karishma Patel and Mike Tovey. Ruth's daughter Marjorie was a bridesmaid.

It was quite an occasion, held over three days.

These are a few of my impressions of the festivities, including the mehndi, garba, and baarat rituals.

Color. Joy. Union.
