SkillsUSA 2022 / Atlanta GA
I recently covered the National Leadership Skills Conference for SkillsUSA -- for the 34th time. It was the organization's first gathering after a two-year break due to the Covid-19 pandemic. There were 10,000+ attendees in Atlanta GA, where students who were medal winners in their states or US territories competed in their trade and skills areas. It's an amazing and energizing event. This year U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona spoke to the group. In addition to their skills competitions, these career and technical education students provide charity help to the local community. Thanks to Karen Kitzel, Tom Kerchival, Jane DeShong Short, Craig Moore, Scott Price, and the rest of the hard-working SkillsUSA crew for the opportunity to be of help. Another year.
