Ruth and I participated in the weekly vigil for justice with our fellow congregants in Fabrangen.
Again, the shofar was sounded to awaken us.
Ruth and I had a (safe healthy) Thanksgiving hosted at my brother Dean's lovely home in the Virginia countryside, along with his dear partner Bobbin.
Though Ruth, Bobbin, and I contributed to the meal (pumpkin peanut soup, corn pudding, cookies), Dean, who is a superb cook, made a vegetable wellingon, cranberry sauce, salad with homemade dressing, an appetizer of bread, blended cheeses and home-grown tomatoes, gravy, two pies mit schlag, all of it created from scratch and with many ingredients from their garden. A delight.
We then took a walk in their beautiful neighborhood, and watched the sun go down over the trees.
I had some fun while Ruth drove us home.
We are grateful for our blessings.
Recent observations, explorations, and musings.
It is a crazy time that we are living through.
Rays of hope emerge.
A massive spontaneous celebration erupted all over the Washington DC area after Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were declared the winners in the recent Presidential election, centering on Black Lives Matter Plaza near the heavily barricaded White House.
Celebrations also broke out in many communities across the nation and abroad.
