Quarantine Diary 19 | peaceful protest for George Floyd, Arlington VA

I also photographed a meaningful and beautifully peaceful demonstration in Arlington, Virginia, to protest the recent murder of George Floyd by police in Minnesota.

The "Kneel for George Floyd" march was organized by Yolanda Kwinana and others. It went from Shirlington, up Glebe Road, and concluded in a ceremony at a. plaza at 901 N. Taylor Street, in the Ballston area. These photographs were made at the very end of the event.

Arlington County Police aided and accompanied the march, providing safety, water, and snacks; a fine example of community-oriented police work. This reflects the values of our community, supported by the citizens, long-standing local policies, and the words and actions of our elected officials

Black Lives Matter.
