Operation Understanding DC: Class XVI MLK Day training

On this recent Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday celebration weekend, Operation Understanding DC's Class 16 began their year-long process of learning about the history and interrelationships of African Americans and Jews. The program fosters building bridges between individuals and communities, and works to effect an to end bigotry in all its forms.

I have been volunteering for Operation Understanding DC for many years. I have been deeply impressed by the transformations they empower in the young people - and their families - who participate.
