Two portraits - Howard University Business School

I made these portraits of two thoughtful students at the Howard University School of Business while on assignment for Enterprise Community Partners (thanks to Nicole Gudzowsky of Enterprise for the assignment).

Michael Winograd and the Honorable Mentshn gave a performance at Bossa Bistro, in the Adams-Morgan neighborhood of Washington DC. Some members of the DC Klezmer Workshop Group sat in with clarinetist Michael Winograd, bassist Mark Rubin, accordionist Christina Crowder, and drummer Dave Licht. 
Thanks especially to Howard Ungar and Jeff Toretsky of the DC Klezmer Workshop Group as well as the members of this stellar band. 


For what it's worth, this was the darkest club I have ever photographed in. 

The music was so sweet though - Shayne shayne muzik.

The DC Klezmer Workshop, started just a year or so ago, held a lively workshop led by master accordionist Cristina Crowder and bassist/musical raconteur extraordinaire Mark Rubin.

Labor Day morning, the summerhouse on the US Capitol grounds; an outtake while waiting at my assignment.

Circles With Circles exhibition installation, Adas Israel, Sag Harbor NY

Circles Within Circles: Jewish Time Frames, the body of work I have done in collaboration with poet Sherri Waas Shunfenthal, has been installed at Temple Adas Israel in Sag Harbor, New York, on Long Island.

The exhibition opening, and a workshop with readings by Sherri, will be on Sunday September 23, 2018.
