Here is a selection of portraits of LiUNA members from across Canada and the United States that I made for the union in summer of 2016.
These are men and women who build our roads, homes, offices, schools, power plants, alternative-energy sites, bridges, subways, water-treatment plants, guard our jails, tend to our elderly, and keep us safe, laboring with skill and dignity on numerous work sites, both public and private.
It was quite a whirlwind adventure and a privilege to meet these folks, learn more about the work they do, and to document and share their faces and stories.
Thanks to Ed Rehfeld of LiUNA for the assignment, and for the good work he does on behalf of the union's members.
