Volunteer action / Behrend Builders DC
I volunteered alongside members of my havurah, Fabrangen, yesterday, working with members of Tifereth Israel congregation, under the guidance of Randy Bacon and Mil Dranoff of the Behrend Builders program.
We worked to rehabilitate and repair a home of a struggling family in southeast Washington DC. Great folks, who pitched in and guided us as we worked. It was a pleasure to meet and be able to help them move themselves forward.
Thanks to Susan Hoffman, Richard Frankel, Larry Baizer, Behrend board member Ken, and my dear Ruth Stromberg for the honor and pleasure of working alongside y'all. And big thanks to Mil and Randy for their expertise and energies.
