Circles With Circles: opening and installation / Weinstein JCC, Richmond VA
My collaborative work with poet Sherri Waas Shunfenthal, Circles Within Circles: Jewish Time Frames opened in the Sarah November Gallery of the Weinstein Jewish Community Center, in Richmond, Virginia.
Thanks to all who attended, and especially to Orly Lewis and Erin Mahone of the JCC who arranged for the opportunity to share our work in their community, and to the Bob Blagg Trio for their stylishly-crafted jazz performance at the opening.

Senators at work
I covered a hearing on assignment recently on the Hill (regarding financing strategies for affordable housing).
These images are of Senators Elizabeth Warren, Mark Warner, Kay Hagen, and Jeff Merkley.
It was strange to be in the Senate offices during the shutdown. Except for one brief aside, the shutdown was not mentioned, and business was conducted normally by members of both parties.
