Mark Rubin, House concert DC

Mark Rubin "Jew of Oklahoma," gave a powerful house concert in DC recently. His eclectic style encompasses, klezmer, New Orleans jazz, country, folk, Yiddish, and other influences.

Powerful stuff. Raw truth.

Mark Rubin and The Baltomorim | klezmer jam

Mark Rubin, “Jew of Oklahoma" recently performed in the Church of the Guardian Angel and then led a lively jam with The Baltomorim, a Baltimore, Maryland area community klezmer collective.

Great stuff. Mark is a total original, and a powerful voice for humanity, truth, and fairness. Plus the cat can play something fierce.

Shakemore 2025

My favorite day of the summer every year. Shakemore.

Great folks, brains and body in silliness, seriousness, open-minded joy. And bands 'n out-there stuff. Free music festival; community of free souls, creation channeled live, blossoms, blossoming. And rude noises.

I wish I could smear Shakemore over the whole country, like peanut butter. Good for what ails ya.
