Iron Men

I recently photographed members of Ironworkers Local 5 putting in the beams for an expansion of the Laborer's International Union's (LiUNA) headquarters in Washington DC.

Photography began before dawn... and these men, who began work at 3:00 AM, are incredibly skilled, hardworking, agile, and rugged. It is tough, dangerous, and detailed work. They do it extraordinarily well.
