Quarantine Diary 20, part 2 | Black Lives Matter protest, Arlington VA

A large and peaceful demonstration was held in Arlington, Virginia, to protest the recent murders by police of George Floyd and many other black citizens.

The march was organized by Anika and Yolanda Kwinana. The marchers traveled from the Columbia Pike Library up Glebe Road, to Ballston (for a second gathering), and then on to the Courthouse area, where many headed to the protest in DC. These photographs are from Columbia Pike and Ballston.

Arlington County Police and other government officials cooperated and aided the march and the marchers.

Leadership matters.

Black lives matter.
