Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service- | Agudas Achim and Alfred Street Baptist Church volunteers
In the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., members of Alexandria Virginia's Agudas Achim synagogue and Alfred Street Baptist Church participated in a day of service. They prepared twenty thousand ready-to-cook food packets for the needy in a marathon session.
Thanks to Esther Miller of Agudas Achim for her role in organizing the effort, and to the hundreds of congregants from both faith communities who came together in shifts to help out the needy in our communities.
Washington Jewish Week published an online photo essay. See it here.
