Peril (DC shrines work/exhibition)

I will have a projection of my DC shrines work included as part of an exhibition "Peril," curated Elizabeth Ashe of Zenith Community Arts. The opening will be this Saturday August 2, from 2 to 6 PM at H-Space at 1932 9 1/2th Street NW, Washington DC 20001. Please come see and share the work.

My colleague, the soul-filled artist documenting the impact of violence on our community, Brother Curtis E. Mozie, will also be showing his video work.

Peace. See you there.

National Principal's Conference | Boston

I recently covered the national  conference of the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP), held this year in Boston, Massachusetts.

They are a bright, creative, personable, dedicated and energetic bunch; leaders who implement quality education in our nation.

Here are a few of my personal favorite pictures.

Thanks to the good folks at NASSP and at MDG (their public relations firm), for the assignment. Glad to be of help.

And thanks to these amazing dedicated principals - some of them lead like pirates!

American Foundation for Suicide Prevention- rally and conference

I recently covered the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's annual conference and rally at the US Capitol.

These are very kind, caring, and effective people.

They met and or were spoken to by a number of officials and experts, including Senators Senators Todd Young R-IN, Shelley Moore-Capito R-WV, Sheldon Whitehouse D-RI, Chris Coons D-DE, Catherine Cortez Matto D-NV, Jack Reed D-RI , Congressman Paul Tonko D-NY, former Congressman Patrick Kennedy, Veterans Affairs Secretary Robert Wilkie, Sam Brinton of the Trevor Project, and media executive Tony Cornelius.

Thanks to John Madigan, Chelsey Dumond, and the rest of the professional staff at AFSP for the honor of being of service in this effort.
