I recently attended the 50th anniversary gathering of the 1963 March on Washington.
A very positive experience. I recalled that in 1993 I covered the 30th anniversary commemorative gathering. I covered that March for the AFL-CIO, mostly assigned to document Mrs. Coretta Scott King, the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.'s widow.
Most of the slide film I shot that day went to my client,; who knows where it is now. I found a page of slides from the event, with a few photos of Mrs. King, the Rev. Jesse Jackson, and other participants. I have mixed them all in with a few images from this year's March.
Do yourself a favor. Listen to Dr. King's "I Have a Dream" speech.

American Investigations | Haverstraw New York
Ruth and I stayed at an exquisite B&B, the Bricktown Inn, in this interesting river town, not far up the Hudson River from the Tappan Zee Bridge.
Old Yankee and Dominican cultural mashup.
Gorgeous light... then on our way home.
